Participants should come prepared for all conditions, particularly those taking on longer distances covering several sections. We have included below a recommended kit list:

  • Waterproof trousers
  • Walking poles
  • Waterproof walking gators
  • Hiking boots
  • Spare footwear
  • Several pairs of socks
  • Mobile phone (fully charged)
  • Rucksack
  • Sun hat
  • Sun cream
  • Head torch (required for final sections)
  • Food and water
  • Energy food (such as energy drinks/bars, nuts, sweets, fruit)
  • Warm clothing
  • Plasters and foot care treatment (including Compeed)
  • Warm clothing
  • Participant number and emergency contact details
  • Route map (to be provided)
